G.I. JOE SPECIAL MISSIONS #1: All right, after the Joe relaunch last month, I was just about ready to give up on the franchise. And yes, the second issue sucks pretty badly, although not as much as the first. Thankfully, IDW didn’t decide to completely destroy the title. You can still find the good stuff in G.I. JOE SPECIAL MISSIONS. The artwork is awful, but the story is intact. Well, for the most part. While I am still pissed off with the betrayal of last month, I’ll find solace in this new title.
THE TRANSFORMERS: MORE THAN MEETS THE EYE #15: IDW has been pimping this book hard for a while now, playing up the fact that a major character gets killed onboard the Lost Light. Sure enough, they weren’t fucking around. I won’t mention who it is, but it is HUGE. And here’s the kicker: they off a few more characters, too, in addition to mutilating others. You know the roster they have on the last page of each issue? Yes, there are red X-marks over the faces of the slain. They really fucking delivered with this one, folks. Of course, who ever stays dead in the TF universe, but something tells me they really did it this time.
