I’ve read a few of his mysteries and westerns, and I’ve generally been happy with his work. This is my first experience with one of his horror books, and I’ve heard some bad things. From what I understand, it’s what happens when Bram Stoker hunts for Jack the Ripper. I hate when writers take historical figures and make them do things they didn’t do in real life. (Especially if it involves either Lovecraft or Poe; thankfully, they’re nowhere near this one.) We’ll see how this works out.
