Laymon has yet to disappoint me. It’s really a shame he wasn’t better known in this country. Right off the bat, this is an uncomfortable read, because it relates a young man’s emotions as he goes through his first real break-up. Yeah, that’s exactly how it feels. And as a night walker myself, his description of doing just that, especially when a woman starts walking in front of you, is pretty spot on.
