Cacek is hit or miss with me. I read the back of the book, and it seems so ridiculous that I can’t see how it can work. Yet . . . Jack Ketchum and Douglas Clegg gave it their blessing, so that makes me think twice. I did enjoy Cacek’s outing with Nigel Bennett (Lacroix from FOREVER KNIGHT), so I have an open mind.
